Getting back on the horse

I’ve had a bit of time off from social media lately. It wasn’t intentional or planned or for any reason at all. It was mainly because I just forgot about it. I had other things to do, I didn’t have the time to sit down and put pen to paper or I just simply didn’t think “I need to write about this on my blog”. I’ve just been doing life.

That doesn’t mean that I’ve got loads of stories to tell you, and lots of fantastic things to write about. I could tell you about my day ironing every item of clothing in sight. That would just include pictures of my husband’s now perfectly organised wardrobe and tales of a sore and blistered right hand. I could tell you about another day to trip Palo Alto but you could just re-read this as it went basically the same.

I guess you could say that life has been a bit dull lately. Well, dull is maybe the wrong word. It hasn’t been dull. Just normal. A friend told us on Tuesday that we were a typical “married couple” now because we spent our weekend putting up shelves and pictures in our apartment. Are they right? Have we turned into “that” couple? Possibly, but I’m loving it all the same.

We are now into a quiet season here in SF, with no visitors planned after a month-long stint of my in-laws visiting. (Actually, there could be a blog post in there somewhere, if I dig deep). We do have lots of things to look forward to in the coming months though, including our birthdays in May, our 1st wedding anniversary in July and our Honeymoon in October (a long way off, I know but I’m excited all the same).

So there are fun times ahead that I want to share with you. Some I am keeping close to my chest as they are not yet set in stone, but others that I want to shout from the rooftops.

And I will. But not today.

Today, I am just reminding you that I am still here. I have not given up. And there will be more consistent posting in the future. When I’ve finished the ironing 😉

Please stick with me! I promise I will get more interesting soon.

A xx
